In the episode of 1 August of KBS 2TV’s Heart On Wheels, the members of the Cast Lee Min-Jung, Boom, Ahn Jae-Hyun, Kim Jung-Hyun, Kim Jae-Won-Colly known as Jeongnammae-they visited the island of Udo in Goheung, Jeollanam-do, with the young guest.
The moving and hilarious episode lit on Friday evening while the cast and guest Young Tak prepared a surprise birthday celebration for Ahn Jae-Hyun, who for coincidence has filmed for his real birthday.
The young Tak stole the spotlight with the entry of the joke, dressed as the owner of a snack bar. Later he joined the cast for Mudflat Games, rushed around the shore and even headed at sea with the boom. His performance of “Drink Makgeolli” raised the spirits, pushing Boom to praise, “he does not feel out of place – as if he were always part of the family”.
The emotional fulcrum was the surprise birthday plan. The tension shown at the end of the previous episode-in particular between Lee Min-Jung and Kim Jae-Won-Won was revealed to be part of a stratagem elaborated to deceive Ahn Jae-Hyun.
Previously, the cast played a Mudskipper fucking game to determine who would go to the island. Kim Jung-Hyun gave his place to a Lee Min-Jung fatigue, pushing a joking complaint from Kim Jae-Won. This playful moment intensified in a fake discussion, with Ahn Jae-Hyun visibly stressed, unaware that was staged.
Lee Min-Jung and Kim Jae-Won took turns pretending to discuss and confide to Ahn Jae-Hyun, who patiently tried to mediate. He even sat next to Kim Jae-Won as he ate Ramen alone, offering kind words.
The surprise reached its peak during dinner. While Ahn Jae-Hyun calmly ate a salty algae soup produced by Kim Jae-Won, another round of conflicts on stage was held. Boom broke the tension joking, “can we stop turning now?” Just before the cake was put out. Realizing that it had been all a setup, Ahn Jae-Hyun broke out in tears. Even Lee Min-Jung, touched by his reaction, cried. The cast supported him with hugs and birthday wishes. A tearful Ahn Jae-Hyun said: “Until you were fighting, I’m lifted”, then he added, “I would prefer to be Gaojeong’s third son than win the first place at the lottery”.
To conclude the day, Lee Min-Jung gave him a handwritten card and a set of perfumes he had prepared. His message said: “You are hot, caring and caring. One is for men, one for women – I hope you meet someone wonderful.” Ahn Jae-Hyun replied: “This was the best birthday surprise ever.”
Through Gaojeong, the cast has not only connected to the local community, but has also strengthened their bond as a family.
In the meantime, a special Gaojeong Festival will be broadcast in the next episode, with delicious Chinese dishes of the master chef Yeo Kyung-Rae and for the performance of the Prince Young Tak trot.
