ON June 5thTHE Office of the District of Incheon District confirmed the Accusation without detention of a 30 -year -old police officer, identified as “A”and a 40 -year -old prosecutor investigator, indicated as “B”. According to reports, an officer photographed and shared investigative documents on 18 October 2023, revealing names, criminal records and professions of individuals related to chance. These sensitive files were sent to two journalists. In the meantime, the investigator B would have revealed the fact that Lee Sun-Kyun was under investigation with another journalist, resulting in a sensational title of October 19: “Top Star l in internal investigation for drug accusations.”
Lee Sun-Kyun, better known internationally for his role in ParasiteIt was booked on October 14th and questioned three times before being found dead December 26thA few days after his latest police interrogation. His death, wrapped in public control and intense media coverage, shocked the nation.
In January 2024, Bongo Joon-Ho issued a formal declaration asking for a complete probe in possible Unauthorized media losses and improper conduct by investigators. Stressed the need to:
