Previously, BIGBANG’s Daesung posted a video with the theme “Squid Game” on his anonymous YouTube channel, D’splay.
In this video, Daesung recreated the viral video “Squid Game: The Musical” with other musicians, adding his own style.
Considering that the video was released after the announcement that TOP would appear in the second season of “Squid Game”, many interpreted the video as Daesung’s show of support for the former BIGBANG member, who eventually appeared as drug-addled rapper Thanos.
In fact, in the comments section of Daesung’s video, there were several comments mentioning TOP and his role in “Squid Game”.
“D’splaynim supports ‘Squid Game 2’ so much and we all know why,” one netizen commented, while another said, “This is his way of supporting our Thanos.”
On the other hand, TOP recently expressed his regret regarding BIGBANG in an interview following the release of “Squid Game 2”.
In particular, he explained that he chose to leave BIGBANG so as not to burden the team with his scandal, adding that he had officially severed ties with the other members, no longer contacting them.
