Mark is starting a new chapter after leaving NCT. The artist has officially launched his creative company, Upper Room, marking a major step forward in his career as both an artist and creator.
Upper Room was founded by Mark together with colleagues with whom he has built a relationship of trust over the years. The company will focus on music while also bridging different creative fields, including video, imagery and performance. Through this new company, Mark is expected to expand his artistic world in a more independent and multidimensional way.
The name Upper Room has a deeper meaning. Rather than simply referring to a physical space, it represents a place where like-minded people gather, exchange ideas and discover new possibilities. The company plans to support Mark’s music, vision and future projects in all directions.
Mark, who has spent years building his own musical identity, now steps forward as both co-CEO and independent creator. His new role signals a more active and self-directed phase of his career. Along with the announcement, Upper Room released an announcement film inspired by the 15th century era of movable metal type. The film attracted attention because it avoided AI-generated imagery and completed all images by hand, emphasizing the value and message of human creators.
Visual films such as “Written” and “The Wind” have also been revealed, suggesting the beginning of a new narrative. These films will tie into 4 other visual films scheduled to be released throughout the day on June 4th. With the launch of Upper Room, Mark is expected to showcase not only his growth as an artist but also a broader creative universe shaped by his ideas and direction.
