On December 29, Ha Yeon-soo posted several photos on her personal account, accompanied by the caption: “It’s been two months, but my friend still celebrates my birthday.”
The photos show Ha Yeon-soo spending time with her friend at a cafe. The floral gift in her hand and her friend’s stunning appearance attracted attention. While he did not provide further comment, the friend is reportedly an active actor in Japan, who Ha Yeon-soo appears to have grown close to during his activities in the country.
Meanwhile, on December 11, Ha Yeon-soo made her first appearance on a Korean variety show in three years on MBC’s “Radio Star.” He explained the reason for his activities in Japan: “I originally went to Japan with the intention of studying art, but found that the tuition fees were over 150 million won. So I quickly started looking for agencies.”
Addressing the “gravure debut” rumors, he clarified: “At the beginning of my career in Japan, I did a photo shoot for a manga magazine. In Japan, all types of magazines are collectively called “gravure”, but in Korea the term “gravure” seems to be misunderstood as a term for “revealing photo collections”.” He added: “I wore normal clothes for the shoot, but around 50 articles with provocative headlines were published in Korea. At first I was angry and felt it was unfair. I want to take this opportunity to say that this is not true.”
Ha Yeon-soo first rose to fame in 2012 as a model for a cosmetics advertisement and made her acting debut in 2013 with the film “Very Ordinary Couple”. Subsequently, she appeared in drama films such as ‘Monstar’, ‘Potato Star 2013QR3’ and ‘Rich Man’. This year she also appeared in the NHK drama “The Tiger and Her Wings.”
