tvN’s “You Quiz on the Block” on December 11 revealed the scene where Rosé mentioned her strong teamwork with BLACKPINK members Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa.
On the show, Yoo Jae-suk said, “Not only Rosé but also other BLACKPINK members are doing various solo activities“, he then asked Rosé, “Do you miss them?”. Rose replied: “I miss them a lot. I remember very well the day the song was released. That day I felt very nervous as soon as I woke up. I received so many calls from my friends and wondered if they were also looking forward to hearing the song.”
Remembering that day, he continued, “At that time, Lisa called me and we had a video call for more than an hour. I guess we did this for about 2 hours, maybe. I just turned on the video call and cooked some instant noodles to eat. Wasn’t Lisa in New York then? I told her, ‘Lisa ah, I’ve been getting so many calls but I’m only talking to you. After this call, I will have to go back to work.
Rose confessed “I probably could have had a video call with Jisoo unnie right then, but we texted each other a lot. Jennie Unnie recently sent me a video with “Apt.” we play and talk quite often. All of us are busy with our own projects here and there. I really miss them.”
In an interview with the production team, Rosé shared: “I imagine there will be chances for us to show our synergy (for example with an overseas concert tour) next year. We are people who make music so I believe we can grow by receiving energy from different places. We know exactly when to do this or that. I think we can do something better, do more things with our sincere hearts, and do something more interesting,” raising expectations for BLACKPINK group’s business in the future.
Yoo Jae-suk continued the speech, saying “Suddenly I’m curious about something. How about the little things that make you feel happy?”. Rose replied: “It’s a bit difficult to answer this question. In fact, I really like the time I work and I continue to enjoy it even if I have to do it every day.”
He continued, “It’s actually like doing homework for me. I like working so much that even when I lack inspiration and energy, I recharge by doing my job consistently. I only discovered it recently too.”
Rosé began to shed tears as she shared, “I actually have no expectations about rest. I don’t like to rest. I still have many things to do and I feel responsible for them. Therefore, I don’t even talk to my family as much as I did when I was young. I guess I tend to hide my feelings a lot.
Finally, he confessed his affection for his family, saying “It’s because I need to give myself personal space. I feel like my family will wait for me to get closer to them as time goes by, and that’s why I work hard, live hard while enjoying my freedom. I guess they’ll have to wait a little longer. Sometimes I wondered, ‘What if I regret not being able to spend enough time with mom and dad because of my busy life?’ As I grow into an adult, I’m still finding freedom, so hopefully they can wait for me a little longer. I just want to say that I appreciate mom and dad and I love them so much.”
