Former Lovelyz member Jin recently spoke out about the emotional toll of dealing with hateful comments and false rumors. In a heartfelt social media post, she addressed the ongoing harassment she has faced on her Instagram and YouTube accounts.
The idol shared his frustration, questioning why celebrities are often expected to put up with such negativity. She admitted that the situation had had a serious impact on her mental health, revealing that there were times when she felt so overwhelmed that she thought about giving up altogether.
For those who can’t support me now, I don’t expect you to root for me in the future. Everyone has the freedom to feel and think differently.
But why do I have to put up with hateful comments simply because I’m a public figure?
Does being a celebrity mean I should accept hate as normal? My heart has already been torn to pieces countless times and I have spent long periods of solitude feeling so distressed that I wanted to give up on life.

Jin explained that she was deeply affected by malicious comments, which continued to persist despite her efforts to remain strong.
But now I live every day with more determination, joy and without regrets, and I want to continue living like this.

He also shared his determination to stand up to this behavior, making it clear that he will no longer tolerate the spread of false information or comments beyond the pale. He notified those responsible.
You don’t have to support me, but please don’t go out of your way to leave false rumors and harmful comments on my Instagram and YouTube accounts. If asking you not to leave hateful comments is too much to ask, then don’t come crying and begging for leniency later.
I still get countless hateful comments every day. If receiving hate is inevitable for public figures, I will accept it. I understand that ignoring malicious commenters is the best approach, but I will no longer tolerate the spread of false rumors or comments that cross the line.

The timing of this post comes as Lovelyz celebrate their 10th anniversary with a reunion concert titled Lovelyz at Winterland 4. This marks the group’s first full reunion since their disbandment in 2021. Jin said she prepared for this concert wholeheartedly, even considering it to be their last.
Reflecting on her journey, Jin shared her gratitude for the fans who continue to support her, highlighting the joy and precious memories they have given her. Despite the negativity, she is focused on moving forward and capitalizing on the experiences she shares with her members and fans.
As she prepares for overseas performances in cities like Taipei and Tokyo, Jin apologized to fans for sharing such a heavy message but promised to complete her schedule with dedication and gratitude.
