ZEROBASEONE Kim Ji Woong’s fan meetings in Macau and Taiwan canceled due to concerns over poor ticket sales

ZEROBASEONE member Kim Ji Woong’s solo fan meetings in Macau and Taiwan have reportedly been cancelled.

According to a report on June 24, Kim Ji Woong was scheduled to hold fan meetings in Macau on July 11 and in Taipei on July 18. However, both events have now been cancelled.

Industry sources said the official explanation cited “unavoidable circumstances”. However, industry insiders reportedly highlighted weak ticket sales, which were reportedly affected by unusually high ticket prices.

For the Macau event, the highest-end ticket price was 1,588 Hong Kong dollars, equivalent to approximately 310,000 KRW. Meanwhile, premium seats for the Taipei fan meeting were sold for 5,680 Taiwan dollars, or approximately 280,000 KRW. Many fans noted that the prices were significantly higher than those typically seen for similar events in South Korea.

As for the cancellations, Kim Ji Woong’s agency, Nest Management, released a statement explaining that the shows were postponed due to unavoidable reasons.

The company said that after extensive discussions with the event organizers, they decided to delay the shows to provide a higher quality performance and a fuller stage experience for fans. The agency also confirmed that ticket refunds will be processed according to established procedures.

Kim Ji Woong originally debuted in 2016 as a member of INX before debuting again with ZEROBASEONE in 2023 via Mnet’s survival show The planet of boys.

In addition to his group activities, he has also pursued solo promotions. Earlier this month, he launched his Asian fan meeting tour with two performances held on June 20 and 21 at the KBS Arena in Seoul.
