Appearing on the popular YouTube show No Back Tak Jae-hoon alongside fellow Wonder Girls member Sunye, Hyelim opened up about the ups and downs of her long-term relationship before marriage.
During the episode, host Tak Jae-hoon sparked rumors that Hyelim had repeatedly suggested they break up because she wanted to try dating other men.
Answering honestly, Hyelim explained that her situation was a little different. “I dated my husband for a long time. I wasn’t the type to juggle multiple relationships at once. Instead we would break up, date someone else briefly, and then get back together.” Her confession surprised the cast, but Hyelim spoke calmly about the experience, explaining that a long relationship is naturally accompanied by different emotions and periods of uncertainty.
The conversation became even more unexpected when Tak Jae-hoon asked her if she ever regretted going back to her current husband. Laughing, Hyelim replied, “I got married when I was 27. The singer added that she has always found certain professions particularly attractive. “Rappers and chefs seemed really cool. Sometimes I wonder what it would have been like to date someone like that.” Her playful comment elicited laughter from everyone on set.
