On April 16, K-pop content platform Mnet Plus shared special preview content for the upcoming reality show “YOU WANT TO GO: Back to base”, featuring side-by-side images of the members from their debut in 2017 and their current appearance in 2026.
The published images recreate iconic group shots and individual selfies from their debut period, carefully reproducing the exact composition, poses and style from nine years ago.
The members showed striking similarities to their rookie era visuals, while also reflecting a more mature and refined image after years apart.
Fans were quick to react to the nostalgic transformation, praising how the group’s chemistry and visuals remain intact despite the long hiatus.
The next show “Do you want to try: back to base” follows the emotional reunion of Wanna One, who officially ended their group activities in 2019.
After about seven years apart, the members reunite again in a new “Wanna Base,” where they will spend time together, share memories and participate in variety-style missions full of humor and nostalgia.
The program aims to highlight both the chemistry of their reunion and the journey from their debut days to today.

Beyond simple nostalgia, the comparison photos serve as a symbolic visual timeline connecting Wanna One’s explosive debut era with their current identities as established artists.
The contrast between their youthful images of 2017 and their more mature appearances of 2026 naturally creates anticipation for the next series.
“YOU WANT TO GO: Back to base” will premiere on April 28 at 6pm (KST) on Mnet Plus, with a subsequent broadcast on Mnet TV at 8pm (KST).
