On January 7, CL&COMPANY released an official statement addressing the issue, stating: “Recently, unfounded rumors about our artist Go Kyung-pyo have been recklessly spread and reproduced on online platforms and social media.“
The statement continued: “This constitutes a serious criminal act that damages the honor and character of the artist. We are closely monitoring the situation and will take strong legal action against malicious slander, the spread of false information and its reckless reproduction.” The agency stressed: “Following this warning, any illegal activity will be met with strict legal action without any settlement or leniency. We will continue to work diligently to protect the rights of our artists and the fans who support them.”
Additionally, on the afternoon of January 7, Go Kyung-pyo posted a photo via his SNS story, writing, “Don’t worry. I’m not that crazy. Let’s see what happens to these crazy people.”
In the photo, Go Kyung-pyo is seen inside a photo booth, striking playful poses such as a V sign and a heart gesture with his hands. His bright smile captures attention.
Harmful rumors recently spread online that Go Kyung-pyo was involved in inappropriate contact with a woman at an unstaffed photography studio in a provincial area. The agency responded promptly by issuing its official position.
Go Kyung-pyo debuted in 2010 with the KBS2 drama “Jungle Fish 2.” Since then, he has appeared in works such as tvN’s “Potato Star 2013QR3” and KBS2’s “Naeil’s Cantabile.” He rose to fame with his role in tvN’s “Reply 1988”. He recently starred in JTBC’s “Frankly Speaking.”
The actor also showed his charm in variety shows. He showed off his humor in tvN’s “The Backpacker Chef 2,” which wrapped in November last year, and appeared in KBS2 TV’s “The Seasons: Lee Young-ji’s Rainbow.” Go Kyung-pyo will be featured in tvN’s Sixth Sense spin-off.
