On May 8, the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards took place at COEX in Seoul’s Gangnam District. During the ceremony, Hyun Bin won the Best Actor award in the broadcast category for his performance in the Disney+ original series Made in Korea.
The win was especially significant considering the fierce competition he faced against powerful actors, including Ji Sung and Lee Jun Ho.
However, the most memorable moment of the night came when Hyun Bin’s name was announced. Although Son Ye Jin attended the ceremony as a nominee for Best Actress in the film category and did not win herself, she immediately lit up with a radiant smile after hearing her husband’s name called.
As Hyun Bin walked towards the stage, Son Ye Jin personally filmed him on his phone, proudly acting like his number one fan. The cameras captured her genuine happiness as she focused entirely on celebrating her husband’s success rather than her own achievement.

During his acceptance speech, Hyun Bin talked about collaborating with director Woo Min Ho. He shared, “The director told me this because I couldn’t fully enjoy the filming Harbinhe hoped I could enjoy this project more. Even though every day on set was intense, looking back now, it was truly a happy experience.”
His award also served as recognition of his transformation into Made in Korea had impressed not only viewers but also critics.
The most emotional moment came towards the end of his speech. Looking directly at Son Ye Jin in the audience, Hyun Bin openly confessed: “To my wife Ye Jin, who is sitting right there in front of me, thank you so much and I love you.”

He went on to mention their son, saying: “I love our son too. Thank you for supporting me during the filming,” showing his loving side as both a husband and a father.
Although Son Ye Jin left the ceremony without a trophy in hand, many viewers felt they had received something even more meaningful: a heartfelt public declaration of love on one of Korea’s biggest entertainment stages. The couple’s sincere support and affection for each other ultimately became one of the brightest moments of the evening.
