After months of inactivity, Key’s dormant social media account became active again on June 14.
Through SNS, the idol shared a heartfelt message with fans, writing, “Thanks to all of you, we were able to safely complete our performances at KSPO Dome and Belluna Dome. Every moment spent with you on stage was truly blissful and I think these memories will stay with me for a long time.”
He also expressed gratitude towards SHINee World, the group’s fandom, saying, “I sincerely thank SHINee World for always supporting us without any changes. Let’s meet an even better side of ourselves again.”
This marks Key’s first social media update in about six months. Her latest post was a statement addressing the so-called “Injection Aunt” controversy that emerged in December last year.
Since it was his first post in a long time, fans quickly flooded the comments section with warm reactions like “We missed you,” “I’ve been waiting for you forever,” “Welcome back,” “Thank you for finding the courage,” and “It’s been so long.”
Last year, comedian Park Na Rae was embroiled in allegations relating to illegal medical practices, and Key was also embroiled in controversy due to his relationship with a woman referred to as “Injection Aunt”, identified as A. Photos of Key’s pet dog, signed memorabilia and gifts reportedly appeared on A’s social media account, sparking speculation.
At the time, Key remained silent throughout the controversy. After completing all of his scheduled commitments domestically and abroad, he finally acknowledged the situation, stating, “There were times when it was difficult to visit a hospital, so I received treatment at home several times. I believed that A was a licensed doctor, and I never thought that receiving treatment at home would be problematic.” Following the statement, he suspended all entertainment activities.
As a result, Key stepped away from programs like I Live Alone and Amazing Saturday, taking about five months away from public activities. He resurfaced last month through live performances.

The SHINee member attended the group’s seventh solo concert, held over three days from May 29 to 31 at the KSPO Dome in Seoul Olympic Park.
Since it was his first appearance in front of fans since the controversy, many expected him to address the issue directly. However, Key chose to focus entirely on the performance rather than comment on the matter. Now, with the resurgence of his once-silent social media activity, he appears to be preparing for a full-scale return to entertainment.
Attention now turns to the possibility that Key will officially resume his television activities in the near future.
