Police allege that A asked Park Na-rae for an amount equivalent to 10% of the company’s revenue in 2024, claiming that she had used company funds for personal expenses, including expenses related to an ex-boyfriend. A is also accused of embezzling about 30 million won from the company. Another former manager facing similar charges has reportedly been referred to prosecutors without detention.

Following the news of A’s detention, comments previously made by lawyer Jang Hyun-ho, who represents one of Park Na-rae’s former managers, resurfaced online. On July 11, Jang revealed on his YouTube channel that one of Park Na-rae’s former managers had contacted his law firm seeking legal representation and that the firm had agreed to take over the case. Jang explained that the former manager had contacted him after watching one of his previous analysis videos on the Park Na-rae controversy, titled “In the end the manager wins.” In that video, he predicted that Park Na-rae would eventually lose the legal dispute.

At the time, Jang commented, “When legal disputes become battles of pride, the only real winners are the lawyers. Lawyers earn a lot of money, managers could receive 100 to 200 million won, and Park Na-rae could end up in prison or receive a suspended sentence. Looking at this case, I wish everyone had made more rational and reasonable decisions. But pride can push people to keep fighting. As a lawyer, situations like this don’t surprise me.”

However, in a more recent video, Jang struck a more cautious tone, saying: “As many know, both sides have presented conflicting claims and there are aspects of the evidence that remain unclear. There is ample room for legal disputes and the case is fiercely contested. I intend to do my best to represent the manager who has placed his trust in me.”

Meanwhile, Park Na-rae continues to face allegations of mistreatment of her former managers, as well as allegations linking her to alleged illegal medical procedures associated with the so-called “Injection Aunt” controversy.
