On June 18, Moon Chae Won uploaded a video titled “Inviting You to a Strange Drive You’ve Never Seen on YouTube (ft. Naengmyeon & Bingsu Hot Spots)” to his YouTube channel.
In the video, Moon Chae Won laughingly said, “Today is the day I reveal my personal car. It’s the first time I’ve shown it. I can’t say it’s 100% my style. I was determined to buy a small car, so it’s a two-door model. I wanted a car that wasn’t too wide because I wasn’t confident in my driving.”
The vehicle he revealed was a 2020 Mercedes-Benz model, sold in the price range of 77 million won to 80 million won.
Moon Chae Won explained, “I wasn’t very good at driving and basically had a suspended license. It’s been about six years since I started driving again. These days I drive quite often. I go to my parents’ house and use the car regularly. Compared to before, my driving skills have definitely improved.”
Presenting the vehicle’s interior, he added: “Do you know that cars come with options, like changing seat colors and lighting? I didn’t choose any options. I just took what came with the car.”
He also revealed the items he always keeps inside his vehicle. “I have a folding umbrella, a long umbrella, masks and a diffuser. There is one thing I always keep in the trunk: a picnic mat. Every time I go to a place like Han River, buying a new mat every time gets expensive, so I always keep one in the back.”
He continued: “I actually had two lumbar support pillows in the car, but I thought it would be better without them, so I asked my manager to quickly hide them.”
Although her driving skills improved, she was unable to drive with the production crew in the car. Explaining why, he said: “My driving has definitely improved. Now I can drive with passengers, but I would have to watch the navigation and answer the manufacturer’s questions at the same time. What if I had an accident? Honestly, my company cared more than me. I said I could do it, but maybe they don’t fully trust me yet.”
She added, “Today I’m just going to have a conversation with myself inside the car. I’m the kind of person who talks to myself while driving anyway. I’ll lead the way first, so follow behind me.”
Meanwhile, Moon Chae Won will marry her non-celebrity fiancé at a venue in Seoul on Sunday, June 28.
