On April 24, a new video titled “My dream trip to the Maldives… finally made it come true ♥” was uploaded to Hyeri’s YouTube channel, documenting her vacation with staff members.
While enjoying the ride, Hyeri then shared a shocking story from the previous night. She said: “There were so many stars, it seemed like it was pouring rain. I wanted to see them properly, so I lay in a hammock floating in the sea, letting myself drift.” At first, the bright lights in his quarters made it difficult to see, but once his eyes adjusted, his vision became clear.
However, things quickly took a turn. Hyeri explained, “When I looked ahead, it was completely dark. When I turned around, my place was really far away. I thought I would stay a little longer, but I had gone much further than I thought.”
He continued: “I tried to turn the float and row backwards, but I wasn’t going forwards at all. The wind was so strong and the current kept pushing me away from the accommodation. I was holding the phone, so I could only row with one hand, and it didn’t work.”
As panic took over, Hyeri admitted, “I thought, ‘This is serious. Should I call my manager?’ All kinds of thoughts ran through my mind. Finally, she gathered all her strength and rowed with all her strength, even risking her phone getting wet, until she slowly made progress and managed to return safely.
One staff member reacted with surprise, saying: “It was so quiet outside, I thought you were having so much fun. If I had called and not answered, it would have been really dangerous.”
Reflecting on the incident, Hyeri calmly concluded, “It wasn’t anything life-threatening, but it definitely felt more dangerous than I expected. It’s something I can laugh about now.”
