Actress Han Ga In’s eldest daughter recently became a hot topic online after reports highlighted her exceptional intellectual abilities. According to local media FnNews on May 30, the young girl is ranked among the 1% of the smartest children in South Korea, so much so that many netizens call her a true child prodigy.
Han Ga In revealed that she first noticed her daughter’s extraordinary talent when the little girl unexpectedly began reading both Korean and English despite never having received formal reading lessons.

But when she was about 40 months old, she suddenly started reading both Korean and English. I had never even taught her to read. It seemed unusual, so I took her for an evaluation and the results showed that she was in the top 1% of the smartest children in Korea.”
Speaking openly about her parenting approach, Han Ga In said she regularly played English fairy tales throughout the house as her daughter was growing up.
“When she was little, I constantly made her listen to storybooks in English. Every day, I let her play for several hours. I think English became naturally familiar to her through that environment.” explained the actress.
Han Ga In also gave viewers a look into her daughter’s bedroom, which is filled with books from floor to ceiling. The room attracted attention for its large collection, including children’s literature, English-language novels and educational materials.
The actress expressed her happiness over her daughter’s love for reading, saying: “Because she maintained a strong reading habit for a long time, her reading comprehension developed very quickly. At first I thought it was because she attended an international preschool. But then I realized that she was already good at English even before she enrolled there.”
In addition to her impressive language skills, Han Ga In revealed that her daughter also has a deep interest in science. According to the actress, her son’s favorite reading material is actually a science magazine.
“She signed up for a special interview program for loyal readers and was even selected to participate,” Han Ga In said proudly as she held up a magazine article that included her daughter.
The actress also explained why she chose to enroll her daughter in an international school. “My daughter loves presentations and discussions. Given her personality and interests, I wanted to find a school environment that suited her strengths,” he shared.

Considering that she had already memorized almost the entire periodic table at just seven years old, many viewers agree that Han Ga In and Yeon Jung Hoon’s daughter possesses exceptional academic talent far beyond that of most children her age.
Han Ga In and Yeon Jung Hoon got married in 2005. The actress became pregnant for the first time in 2015, but sadly suffered a miscarriage after about eight weeks.
