Former ENHYPEN singer Heeseung has reintroduced himself as solo artist Evan under Belift Lab, marking the beginning of a new era focused on his musical vision.
Belift Lab recently unveiled Evan’s rebranding through a new artist profile and minimalist concept photos, presenting him with a simple style to highlight a more natural image. The agency described him as a versatile singer with a “trendy and sophisticated tone”, noting that he is now ready to define a new chapter as a solo artist.
Belift Lab said the name “Evan” represents an alternate dimension of his identity and reflects the essence of his musical artistry, according to Allkpop.
In a statement shared through the label, Evan said he hopes to reach listeners with music that showcases his “most honest and natural self,” signaling a more personal approach than group work. The label added that the new imagery aims to remove the “excess” and capture its raw, unfiltered side before any external concepts are applied.
Heeseung rebrands for solo era
Evan’s rebrand follows his departure from K-pop boy group ENHYPEN, announced in March 2026 after internal discussions about the group’s future. Belift Lab explained that, during discussions with all members, it became clear that he had a distinct musical direction and the company chose to respect his artistic goals.
The agency confirmed that ENHYPEN will continue as a six-member group, while Evan will remain with Belift Lab as a soloist, Today reported.
The singer, who first debuted in 2020 as ENHYPEN’s Heeseung, had already earned praise for his perfect voice, refined stage presence and contributions to writing and production. His decision to go solo was described by the label as the result of “in-depth contemplation” and a desire to explore a unique musical perspective.
Belift Lab has not yet announced a specific release date, debut single or album for Evan’s solo music. However, the company indicated that its upcoming sound is expected to differ from ENHYPEN’s work, reflecting the clear musical direction that led to its departure from the group, according to the Korea Herald.
Evan also opened a new Instagram account with the handle @h_evva_n, where he introduced his new name and shared the first images from this phase of his career. Fans are now watching him closely for updates on his official solo debut schedule and future promotions under Belift Lab.
