DAY6 member Dowoon breaks silence on dating and wedding rumors during concert

DAY6 member Dowoon personally addressed fans during the group’s 10th anniversary encore concert, after recent dating and wedding rumors attracted intense attention online.

The singer and drummer spoke honestly during DAY6’s “THE DECADE” concert held at KSPO DOME in Seoul Olympic Park on July 3. Standing in front of fans, Dowoon apologized for causing concern and shared how deeply the situation had affected him.

“I promised to always show you only the positives as an entertainer, but I’m sorry I didn’t keep that promise,” he said.

Despite the emotional moment, Dowoon reassured fans that his feelings towards them had not changed over the years.

“However, my heart has never changed in 10 years,” he continued. “I truly love you all. My reason for existing is to be of help and strength to each of you in any form.”

Dowoon also made it clear that he intends to continue his career with DAY6 for a long time. “I’ll do this for my whole life. Please keep watching,” he told fans.

According to TheChosun, he added, “I will keep my promises. I will do my best not to cause any harm to those around me, so please keep watching. I love you.”

Yoo Ji Yoo is rumored to be dating DAY6’s Dowoon

The rumors first started in May, when online users claimed that Dowoon and YouTuber Yoo Ji Yoo were using matching items such as cologne and key chains shown in videos and photos.

Some people also pointed to a dog seen in photos linked to Dowoon’s acquaintances, claiming it matched Yoo Ji Yoo’s pet, Koreaboo reported.

Wedding rumors spread quickly after reports claimed the two consulted with a wedding planner. Speculation grew even more after Yoo Ji Yoo was rumored to have attended a limited collaboration event to celebrate DAY6’s 10th anniversary.

Despite the growing attention, JYP Entertainment has neither confirmed nor denied the rumors. The agency stated briefly, “We have no particular statement.”

Dowoon then tried to calm fans via social media, reassuring them that DAY6 would not disband. He also asked fans to ignore harmful posts and apologized for causing pain.

Born in 1995, Dowoon debuted with DAY6 in 2015. The band has become well-loved for songs like “You Were Pretty,” “Let It Be a Page” and “Welcome to the Show.”
