Carman Lee recently shared her honest opinions on marriage and having children through a personal post published on May 23.
In the post, the actress revealed that her mother was once worried she would feel lonely living without a husband or children. However, after watching her daughter gradually change over the years and seeing the simple happiness she now enjoys, her mother no longer questions whether she really needs a life partner.
Carman Lee wrote, “I believe that the completeness of life is never determined by a specific identity.” He went on to reflect on his past relationships, saying before she had sincerely loved others, but now she understands how to love herself better. According to the actress, there is no absolute standard for happiness or a “correct” way to live.
The actress also expressed hope that she can become a positive role model for her granddaughter. She explained it she doesn’t expect her granddaughter to follow exactly the same path in life, but instead hopes that younger generations will remember to take care of themselves and love others at the same time.
Carman Lee added it she has always believed that the emotional bond shared between three generations of women brings with it a gentle yet powerful strength, which she hopes can be passed on to more young women.
He also encouraged people not to worry too much about society’s expectations of what a “full” life should look like, emphasizing this true happiness is ultimately the best response anyone can give to life.
Earlier this month, Carman Lee also attracted great attention after appearing at a public event where many fans were amazed by her youthful appearance, elegant aura and impressive physical condition at the age of 60.
In May, the actress also uploaded a workout video showcasing her intense fitness routine, including reverse crunches and pull-ups. She revealed it his body fat percentage remains as low as 18% and proudly showed off his toned physique.
According to Carman Lee, her fitness journey began when she was 34 years old. He currently exercises five days a week for more than two hours per session and also takes training equipment with him when traveling to maintain consistency.
The actress also shared details about the strict diet she has been following for almost 20 years. His meals reportedly follow a “3 servings of vegetables, 2 servings of protein, 1 serving of whole grains” formula. Avoid sugar, fried foods and carbonated drinks while maintaining regular sleep habits.
Rather than advocate an extreme diet, Carman Lee said believes in exercise so you can enjoy food more freely without guilt.
Born in 1966, Carman Lee initially worked as a flight attendant before entering the entertainment industry. She officially debuted in Hong Kong showbiz in the early 1990s and appeared in several TVB productions.
Her career-defining role came in 1995, when she played Xiaolongnü “The heroes of the Condor 95” alongside Louis Koo. Her ethereal and elegant portrayal of the iconic character has become legendary among audiences, earning her the title of one of the most beautiful “Xiaolongnü” actresses ever cast.
He subsequently acted in numerous other productions including “Demigods and Demidevils” (1997), “Legendary Fighter: Yang’s Heroine” (2001) e “The Indomitable” (2019).
Carman Lee had previously been in a nearly decade-long relationship with a wealthy businessman that ultimately did not lead to marriage. After the breakup, she reportedly suffered severe emotional difficulties and depression before slowly recovering through exercise and her work in the entertainment industry.
