In a previous interview on the YouTube channel “MK Studio”, Song Jae-rim shared various stories with actresses Lee Yoon-ji and Kim Hwan-hee, his co-stars in the film “Good Morning”.
“Good Morning” is a drama about humanity set against the backdrop of a hospice ward where different people have different stories and depicts what happens when a girl arrives who awaits her death.
At that time, when asked about his “wish list,” Song Jae-rim shared: “It may seem a little flashy, but I would like some champagne to be popped at my funeral. Having a festive funeral is on my bucket list.“
When asked who he would think of first when dying, he replied: “Probably my parents. I can’t go before they do.”
These remarks once again draw attention following the news of Song Jae-rim’s death, leaving many with heavy hearts.
Song Jae-rim was found dead at his residence in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, around 12:30 pm the previous day. He was 39 years old.
So far, no evidence of foul play has been found, and a suicide note was reportedly found at the scene.
The sudden news triggered waves of mourning across the entertainment industry.
Actor Park Ho-san shared a photo taken with Song Jae-rim, expressing, “This is driving me crazy, really. Jae-rim, you have always been so bright; I can’t believe it. I’m sorry for not keeping in touch, for not taking care of you. I’m really sorry.”
Broadcaster Hong Seok-cheon shared a photo of the late actor’s bright smile, saying, “I am heartbroken that I will never see this beautiful smile again. I’m sorry I couldn’t take care of you better or even say goodbye.“He added:”I’m sorry, I’m really sorry. I failed as a big brother. Rest in peace.“
Song Jae-rim’s funeral will be held in Hall 2 of the Funeral Hall of St. Mary’s Hospital of the Catholic University of Korea in Korea, with the final service set for November 14.
