Joynews24, a top-tier business daily, celebrates its 20th anniversary by carrying out surveys in various sectors with the help of 200 music experts from September 30th to October 8th.

They ranked the most powerful K-pop celebrities and artists, who shone the brightest this year and were active in different fields like never before.

Starting with NewJeans, they ranked 4th overall, the highest among K-pop groups with 10 votes.

Despite being affected by the HYBE vs. Min Hee Jin, their presence has remained strong, continuing their long run of staying at the top of national music charts and conquering Japan with their recent debut.

aespa placed sixth overall and second among the female groups, earning 6 votes.

This year they became unrivaled “power people” in the music charts with their hit “Supernova”.

The song retained its No. 1 position. 1 for 3 consecutive months from June to August, earning the title of no. 1 longest lived at 20 years.

They continued their popularity with their back-to-back releases, “Armageddon” and “Whiplash”.

BTS and BLACKPINK’s Jennie placed 7th with 5 votes, proving their everlasting influence as the biggest artists of the third generation era.

This year, Jennie made a statement with her solo track, “Mantra,” as BTS continued to be the top music streaming platform despite her military service. BTS Jin is also continuing the team’s momentum with his solo releases like “I’ll Be There.”

Other idols chosen in the poll were 2NE1, ZeroBaseOne, Day6 and IVE Jang Wonyoung.
