After remaining silent after her divorce, Yulhee will no longer back down and file a lawsuit against her ex-husband, Choi Minhwan, to regain custody of her children and receive alimony.
On November 4, the former Laboum member went to the Seoul Family Court to submit her request for mediation to change custody of her son and his twin daughters.
She is also belatedly taking legal steps to reclaim her shared properties with Minhwan, which she initially gave up when they separated in 2023.
Initially, the former K-pop star noted that she had decided not to take anything and give custody to her ex-husband, so that her children could grow up in a “realistic” environment, regardless of being painted like the “bad mother”.
However, after recent reports blaming her for their divorce and claiming that she ran away from home, Yulhee took to her YouTube channel to avoid further misunderstanding and revealed that she was actually cheated on by Minhwan.

In one video, she exposed him by providing audio recordings of her ex-husband contacting a middleman to visit adult salons to rent service girls several times. Not only that, but Yulhee also told how he would embarrass her in front of her in-laws by touching her private parts in front of them.
In addition to the lawsuit filed by Yulhee, Minhwan is also under investigation for violating the Prostitution and Sexual Violence (Forced Harassment by Relatives) Punishment Law.
Following this, Choi Minhwan recently retired from all his broadcasts, including “The Return of Superman”, and took a break from his activities on FT Island.
