In a recent interview with Korean media My Dailyone of the world’s most famous pop stars has revealed his admiration for Korean music and hinted at potential future collaborations.
Having previously collaborated with major names in K-Pop, he spoke of his excitement at working with the popular group THE SERAPHINSsparking a wave of anticipation among fans around the world. The pop star is none other than the English-Albanian singer Two Lipa!
Dua’s first foray into K-Pop came in 2018 when she collaborated BLACKPINK in the hit single “Kiss and Make Up“,” which became an international success. The song dominated the charts in Malaysia and Singapore, reached the top 40 in nineteen countries, and had a major impact on both the UK Singles Chart and South Korea’s Gaon Digital Chart. Since then, it has earned certifications around the world , including platinum in Australia and silver in the UK, cementing its place as a fan favourite.
In 2020, he continued his journey in the Korean music scene with a remix of his song “Physical“,” characterized Hwasa from MOMOO. The remix gained huge popularity. The two stars had already shared the stage in the past Mnet Asia Music Awards in 2019where they performed Dua’s previous hits “Don’t Start Now” and “New Rules”.

Reflecting on these collaborations, the pop star shared her admiration for BLACKPINK and Hwasa’s music, describing herself as a longtime fan.
As a fan, I had a lot of interest in both BLACKPINK and Hwasa’s music. I thought “Kiss and Make Up” was the perfect song for BLACKPINK to sing, but it was a huge stroke of luck that they actually agreed to do it.

When asked about future projects, he revealed his interest in working with LE SSERAFIM, underlining that a collaboration with them could be exciting and fun.
