BTS Jungkook he almost became the first Asian soloist to participate in the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Unfortunately he had to refuse the offer
In the music scene, one of the most coveted invitations among artists is that of the Super Bowl. It is not just about the game, but it is also considered a cultural event in the United States.
In addition to being the best stage to potentially attract more fans, an appearance at the Super Bowl can also strengthen an artist’s entry into the US market, the heart of pop culture.

So when the news broke that Jungkook had almost made a new record by being the first K-pop idol to participate, ARMYs felt some regret, but also a sense of pride for the male icon.
In a recent article published by the New Yorker, HYBE president Bang Si Hyuk sat down for an interview with the press and talked about his current groups such as BTS and KATSEYE.
Here, the media mentioned:
“…Usher, who teamed up with Jungkook for a remix of ‘Standing Next to You’ — and invited him to perform it with him at the Super Bowl.”
Unfortunately, Jungkook had no choice but to decline the offer as the 2024 Super Bowl halftime show was scheduled for February. In December 2023, he had to take a temporary break to serve in the military.
For all the “armies” who envy his success and don’t support his work because you think that if he were too successful as a soloist he would disband the group. Jungkook made the biggest sacrifices of all for the good of the group. You should all worship at his feet. https://t.co/gR283Dbops

Rational people will blame the SK government for forcing BTS to enlist.
Not Jungkook for wanting to enlist early so he could get back together with his members.
Not BTS as a group who always prioritize the team because they love and/or.
And the Akga can still fuck off. https://t.co/r2ObpwQA24

South Korea would really have made more money in tourism etc. if he had simply pardoned these guys from military service. They have already contributed a lot to the country. https://t.co/XQWDRgoiOl

Based on the news, the soloist was originally supposed to make an appearance with Usher to perform his multi-hit, “Standing Next to You.”
On December 1 last year, the two collaborated and released USHER’s remix of the same song which hit No. 2 on the Billboard 200.
Jungkook is only 27 years old, and due to the so-called “BTS law”, he can keep his military enlistment until the age of 30. If he had decided to enlist three years later, he might have accepted the offer to appear at the Super Bowl.
With this, ARMYs became emotional knowing that Jungkook meanwhile sacrificed his budding solo career in the United States to enlist with his fellow BTS members and to shorten the gap of their break in the group.
