Is getting paid to eat as good a deal as it seems?
How much does it cost to mukbang YouTuber makes money by eating? In the latest episode of the YouTube channel I. 3 meals‘ show, popular content creator Heebab revealed his earnings.
As part of the game on the show, Heebab had to find “friends” who would buy her a meal. Knowing how much he eats, however, most people have rejected Heebab.
Desperate to find someone, Heebab then promised to reveal his earnings in exchange for a meal. She soon found a young couple who offered to treat her samgyeopsal.
Making good on his promise, Heebab, who has as many as 1.64 million subscribers, said how much he earns can vary depending on how much work there is. But as of September 2024, he earned a total of ₩35.0 million KRW (around $26,000 USD).
While it seems like luck, Heebab clarified that it doesn’t happen every month. In fact, its September gain turned out to be slightly higher than usual. He also said that he spends around ₩15.0 million KRW (around $11,100 USD) on food every month and that sometimes he doesn’t even earn anything after taxes!
