CNBLUE are ready to make their first comeback in 3 years with ‘X’
On September 23 at midnight KST, CNBLUE thrilled fans by officially revealing the schedule for their highly anticipated comeback, which will mark their first release in three years. The band will release their 10th mini album “X” on October 14 at 6:00 PM KSTsetting the stage for their triumphant return to the music scene.
Earlier this year, CNBLUE delighted their fan base by releasing a new official light stick. On June 10, they released photos showing off their light stick’s sleek design, along with the leader Jung Yong Hwa Custom Emblemwhich added a personal touch to the merchandise. The light stick reveal also served as a preview of their future plans, sparking excitement for their eventual return.
Formed in 2009, CNBLUE quickly rose to fame and has remained one of Korea’s most beloved bands. The current lineup consists of Jung Yong Hwa (leader, lead vocals, guitar, keyboard, rap), Kang Min-Hyuk (drums), and Lee Jung Shin (bass). Over the years, CNBLUE has seen changes in their lineup, with bassist The name Kwang Jin leaving them shortly after their debut in Japan and being replaced by Lee Jung ShinIn 2019, guitarist and singer My Friend Lee Jong Hyun he also left the band.
Even the name CNBLUE carries a significant message: CN stands for Code Namewhile BLUE is a reverse acronym representing the traits of the members—“Burning” for Jong Hyun, “Lovely” for Min Hyuk, “Untouchable” for Jung Shin and “Emotional” for Yong HwaThe group made headlines with their Korean debut on January 14, 2010, with the hit single “I’m a loner” from their first Korean EP ‘Blutorio’.
