After initial criticism that Hwasa received for releasing “NA” and her butt dance, things changed when K-Netz began showing appreciation for her new song and choreography.
On September 19, Hwasa returned to the K-pop scene with her second solo mini-album “O” and its self-titled track “NA.” Initially, the album was met with disapproval by music fans as it was similar to PSY’s “Gangnam Style.”
People claimed that she lost her individuality after moving to P NATION and this skepticism intensified after seeing her music video, in which she showed off dance moves where she moved her butt up and down using her hands.

However, about a week after its release, the song suddenly gained success, both at home and abroad.
After watching her M2 performance and relay, Koreans said that the “butt dance” is not that bad and praised that the concept actually suits Hwasa. They also pointed out that seeing the female star having fun during the performance made her better.
In particular, the title song “NA” expresses a message centered on “Me, Myself, & NA(I)”. Its purpose is to increase self-esteem and celebrate independence, a life that is not easily influenced by the eyes of others.
Korean commentators love her confidence and the song is slowly winning them over too.
