As she gears up for her highly anticipated solo comeback, BLACKPINK Jennie has launched a countdown to her official comeback, along with a voice message. However, her label Odd Atelier quickly released a statement to clear up a misunderstanding regarding Jennie’s alleged solo fandom name.
On September 18, Jennie greeted her fans via a voice message, which also revealed her rumored solo title in the fandom. In the message, the BLACKPINK singer can be heard saying, “Hi, Rubies! It’s Jennie. Stay tuned and I’ll see you soon. I love you. Bye!”

Afterwards, her fans quickly speculated that Rubies was the official name of their fandom. The designation is also most likely taken from Jennie’s acting alias, Jennie Ruby Jane.
Recall that the idol used this stage name when she starred in the HBO show “The Idol” in 2023, alongside Lily Rose-Depp.
However, questions arose because Jennie’s Rubies overlaps with Kwon Eun Bi’s official fan name, RUBI. Odd Atelier, Jennie’s label, quickly stepped in and cleared up the confusion.

“Jennie was simply using the term ‘Rubies’ to address her fans in a news update, and this was not an official announcement of her fandom name,” OA said.
BLACKPINK Jennie is expected to make a solo comeback in October after signing a deal with Columbia Records, under the management of Sony Music Entertainment, which also includes Beyoncé and Adele.
