Two Months members Kim Ye Rim and Do Dae Yoon reunited on stage for the first time in 13 years in KBS 2TV’s “Happy Together – Not Alone, So I Like It”, bringing back memories of their journey since “Superstar K3”.
The duo will appear on the July 17 episode airing at 8:30 PM KST, where they will perform together again after years apart.
Their reunion has garnered attention as fans look back on the pair who became one of the most talked about bands of Mnet’s 2011 audition show.
Kim Ye Rim and Do Dae Yoon first gained popularity as Two Month during “Superstar K3” before going their separate ways.
The episode also reunites them with singer-songwriter Yoon Jong Shin, their former mentor and agency head early in their career.
Yoon Jong Shin expressed his surprise after seeing the duo appear, saying, “I had no idea they were coming. I’m so happy to see them.”
During the broadcast, Do Dae Yoon shared more about the difficult period that led him away from the entertainment industry.
According to ChosunBiz, he revealed that he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at the time and struggled to adequately explain his situation to Kim Ye Rim.
Do Dae Yoon apologizes to Kim Ye Rim
Looking back on the years when Kim Ye Rim continued to work alone, Do Dae Yoon expressed his regret and gratitude.
“I am sorry and grateful to Ye Rim,” he said, acknowledging the challenges he faced while away from group activities, AllKPop reported.
Before his return to the spotlight, Do Dae Yoon experienced major changes in his life outside of music. He revealed that he held several jobs during his hiatus from the industry, including working as a manager for singer Jang Bum Joon. His unexpected update surprised viewers who had followed his early career.
Kim Ye Rim continued her musical journey during the hiatus, later promoting herself as a solo artist under the name Lim Kim.
On the show, he also shared memories of his early days in Mystic Story with Yoon Jong Shin, including practicing his songs and receiving voice recordings of unfinished songs from him.
The reunion episode focuses not only on the duo’s performance but also the story behind their long separation.
Do Dae Yoon previously shared that he went through a difficult time when he was involuntarily admitted to the hospital after his condition worsened.
