CORTIS’ Keonho suffers a broken hand before the first concert of his world tour

On July 15, BIGHIT MUSIC announced that CORTIS member Keonho suffered fractures around the little fingers of both hands after falling and landing awkwardly on his arms. After a thorough hospital examination, doctors confirmed his injuries and advised him to limit his movements during his recovery.

According to BIGHIT MUSIC, Keonho received immediate medical attention after the accident and is steadily recovering. However, medical staff instructed the CORTIS member to wear casts and braces while avoiding excessive movement in both arms to ensure the fractures heal properly. The agency stressed that the artist’s health will remain his top priority, adding that his schedule will be modified based on the advice of medical professionals.

The injury comes just days before the CORTIS TOUR IN INCHEON 2026, scheduled for July 18 and 19. The two-night event marks CORTIS’ first solo concert tour since its debut in 2025, making the timing particularly unfortunate for both the group and fans. Although Keonho is expected to participate, his on-stage activities will be limited to avoid aggravating the injury.

After the agency’s announcement, Keonho personally addressed fans, apologizing for worrying them ahead of one of the group’s most important milestones. He shared that he hoped to perform at each stage alongside his colleagues, but would only participate within safe limits as he focused on his recovery. The idol also promised to prioritize treatment so he can return in the best possible condition.

Keonho is widely recognized as one of CORTIS’ most extraordinary performers thanks to his energetic stage presence, expressive facial expressions and ability to execute powerful choreography. Because the group’s performances rely heavily on synchronized movements involving the arms and upper body, many fans have expressed disappointment that they may not be able to perform at full strength during concerts.

Born Ahn Geon Ho on February 14, 2009, Keonho is the youngest member of CORTIS. Before entering the entertainment industry, he trained as a semi-professional swimmer and initially planned to pursue a career in sports. His path changed in 2021, when he was discovered by BIGHIT MUSIC while in elementary school for his striking visuals. He later became an apprentice, focusing on singing, dancing and performance, while developing skills behind the camera.

Keonho officially debuted with CORTIS on August 18, 2025. The five-member group, consisting of Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon and Keonho, is BIGHIT MUSIC’s first boy group since TXT debuted nearly six years ago.

Marketed as a “Young Creator Crew”, members participate in not only performing but also songwriting, choreography, production and creative direction. Keonho contributed filming, video editing and content planning for the group.

Despite his creative involvement, it is his imagery that has made him one of the group’s most recognizable members. Keonho’s popularity grew along with the rapid rise of CORTIS. The group’s debut EP reached the top 20 of the Billboard 200, while songs like “What You Want” and “GO!” helped establish CORTIS as one of K-pop’s most promising rookie artists.
