Actors Lee Dong Wook and Gong Yoo revealed completely different views on their types of ideal wives during the “Goblin” reunion special, with Lee Dong Wook’s honest answers catching viewers’ attention.
On July 11, tvN’s “Goblin 10th Anniversary Trip” featured the cast of the drama series, including Gong Yoo, Lee Dong Wook, Kim Go Eun, Yoo In Na, Kim Byung Chul, Lee El and Park Kyung Hye. The cast reunited to look back on memorable moments from the series and share personal stories.
During the episode, the cast played a trivia game featuring famous scenes from “Goblin.” One question focused on a scene in which Ji Eun Tak, played by Kim Go Eun, asks Kim Shin, played by Gong Yoo, what his favorite type of wife was: a devoted wife, a sexy person, or a professional.
After correctly guessing the scene, cast members were asked which option matched their actual preferences. According to Koreaboo, Lee Dong Wook chose “professional” and explained that he is attracted to someone who has their own career and passion.
“I prefer a professional. I would like her to have her own job,” Lee Dong Wook said. He added that what matters most is not simply the person’s occupation, but their dedication and enthusiasm towards their work.

Lee Dong Wook says money doesn’t matter
Yoo In Na then asked him to choose between someone who has a career but earns little and someone who is financially successful without a specific profession. Lee Dong Wook replied that money is not an important factor.
“Money is not important,” he said. When Yoo In Na joked, “What if the person continues to use your money?” Lee Dong Wook confidently replied, “It’s okay. I have so much,” surprising the cast and making everyone laugh, TheChosun reported. Yoo In Na praised his response saying, “How beautiful.”
Meanwhile, Gong Yoo shared a different preference by choosing a “devoted wife” as her ideal type. Kim Byung Chul also responded quickly, choosing “sexy,” which made for another funny moment in the conversation.
Yoo In Na reacted to the different responses by saying that all three actors had completely different preferences. Lee Dong Wook then joked, “So it’s good that they don’t overlap,” adding to the fun atmosphere.
