Junior-flavored J-Pop idol group Kumamoto has publicly expressed its concerns over inappropriate behavior towards one of its underage members during a recent fan photo event.
On June 24, the group’s management released an official statement via social media platform X, revealing that they had received numerous reports regarding unacceptable interactions between a fan and a minor member of the group.
According to the statement, an individual participating in a photo session allegedly requested that a 14-year-old member pose inappropriately. Even after the request was rejected, the same individual would repeat it.
Management also said it had received reports of inappropriate comments regarding the member’s comments that were considered unsuitable for someone of his age.

While the statement doesn’t specifically identify the member involved, fans were quick to note that Misaki, who is currently 14 years old, is the only member of the junior flavor Kumamoto who fits the description.
Misaki joined the group in 2020 at just eight years old, making her the youngest member of the trio. The group currently consists of: Ayaka (19) – Original member who debuted with the group in 2018, Yuki (17) – Joined in 2019, and Misaki (14) – Joined in 2020.

In its statement, management emphasized that all interactions between fans and members should remain respectful and age-appropriate, particularly when minors are involved.
The agency reminded attendees that the member in question is still a minor and asked fans to act responsibly during photo sessions and other fan engagement events. Management also warned that if similar incidents continue to occur, staff may intervene directly and issue warnings to people who engage in inappropriate behavior towards members.
