SNL Korea’s parody of LE SSERAFIM’s Coachella stage and ZEROBASEONE Kim Jiwoong’s “cursing” controversy have attracted the attention of K-Media. The content has also received mixed reactions from the K-pop community.
On September 9, Korean broadcaster Xports News reported that “SNL Korea Season 6” released a parody of some K-pop artists.
Host Kim Seong Kyun is said to have re-enacted himself as an idol in the group called Kyun K, which mimicked LE SSERAFIM’s heavily criticized Coachella performance in April.
Korean SNL has always been like this
they have no ideas, so they take anything to make fun of her
even when the minor is threatened with death and must close the comments https://t.co/R5dJnhC03x— vL (@semvle0502) September 8, 2024

The host also recalled ZEROBASEONE member Kim Jiwoong’s controversial fancall in February, when the idol was reportedly heard saying “shib*l,” a Korean swear word after the call ended. The matter sparked a backlash against the idol, as well as WAKEONE’s countermeasures to refute the incident.
