On June 19, tvN’s variety show You Quiz on the Block posted a preview clip on its official social media channels with the caption: “Heo Nam Joon, the rising star of My Royal Nemesis’ romantic comedy, visits You Quiz.”
The post added that the actor would discuss everything from the most memorable supportive comments he has received to surprising stories from his school days that reveal a very different side of him.
In the posted clip, Heo Nam Joon was asked which fan comment made him happiest. She responded with a smile, saying, “There was a comment that said, ‘You’re really not my type. I usually don’t like faces like yours at all, but you keep catching my attention.’ I really liked that one.
She then shared another memorable reaction from a fan, saying, “I also saw a comment that said, ‘I like him so much I want to marry him. I’m 60, okay?’ It was so much fun.
Host Yoo Jae Suk also talked about Heo Nam Joon’s twin brother, mentioning that he heard the brother was tall and handsome.
However, Heo Nam Joon immediately rejected the compliment with a strong response, saying, “That’s not cool,” prompting laughter from everyone on set.
The actor also spoke about his family, in particular his father, who works as a farmer. According to Heo Nam Joon, his father’s attitude towards his visits home has changed significantly over the years.
“In the past, he would say things like, ‘What do you mean you’re busy? Go home quickly,'” Heo Nam Joon recalled. “But now he says, ‘Don’t come. Why would you come when you’re busy?'”
He added that his mother was especially happy to see him on television more often.
“My mom says she feels happy because she gets to hear my voice all day whenever I’m on TV. She tells me, ‘It makes me feel good.’ I’m really grateful for that,” he shared.
