Actress Kang Ye Won surprised fans after she shared a rare behind-the-scenes story of one of her most unusual birthday parties, where she invited around 40 male actors at once.
The story was revealed in a June 11 YouTube video on her channel, where she appeared with actor Go Chang Seok and looked back on her long career in the entertainment industry.
According to Koreaboo, during their conversation, Kang Ye Won mentioned the memorable event and asked, “Do you remember when about 40 male actors came to my birthday party?”
Go Chang Seok quickly confirmed that he remembered it well and reacted with surprise, saying that it was the first time he had seen someone prepare for a birthday by going to a hall and then hosting such a large gathering.
Kang Ye Won added that the guest list wasn’t just full of actors. He also invited his elementary and middle school classmates, explaining that he wanted both groups to meet. He also named several famous actors who attended, including Sol Kyung Gu, Lee Min Ki, Kim In Kwon, Oh Dal Su and Park Joong Hoon, making the event even more star-studded.

However, Kang Ye Won later explained that his intention was simple and sincere. She said the party was intended as a gift to her longtime friends who had always known she was an actress. According to her, those friends naturally wanted to meet the actors, so she decided to make it for them.
“I wanted to give a gift to my friends,” he shared, explaining that he invited the senior and junior actors so everyone could enjoy the moment together.
