On June 7 (local time), Jennie took the stage at the 2026 Governors Ball Music Festival, held at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, New York.
Closing the festival as one of the headliners, Jennie captivated the audience with her commanding charisma and refined stage presence. In addition to a setlist full of global hits, he surprised festival-goers by performing numerous new songs, making the atmosphere electric and eliciting enthusiastic reactions from the audience.
Among the most extraordinary moments was the full-stage performance of “Block him”, a song Jennie previously teased during the after-party for the Chanel 2026 Métiers d’Art Seoul Fashion Showheld at the Pompidou Center in Hanwha Seoul on May 26th. Accompanied by numerous dancers, Jennie delivered a tightly choreographed performance that further energized the audience.
As Jennie continues to reveal new songs on stage, excitement around a potential solo album release quickly grows. Since the end of 2024, the singer has steadily gained momentum, starting with “Mantra” and two solo singles follow. Early last year, he solidified his status as a top-tier solo artist with his full-length album Ruby and the title track “Like Jennie.”
Earlier this year, Jennie concluded BLACKPINK’s Deadline tour and has since continued to connect with fans around the world through major festival appearances. Following performances at ComplexCon Hong Kong and Governors Ball New York, Jennie will also appear at several major international festivals this summer, including Lollapalooza Chicago and Summer Sonic, maintaining her strong presence on the global stage.
