BIGBANG teases 20th anniversary comeback with studio reunion

On May 26, G-Dragon uploaded a video to Instagram with the playful caption: “Total chaos.”

The clip showed G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung dancing energetically in a recording studio while laughing and brainstorming together.

Fans immediately speculated that the trio had reunited to work on music and discuss plans for BIGBANG’s long-awaited group activities.

Debuting in 2006, BIGBANG officially reaches its 20th anniversary in 2026, and the members have repeatedly hinted at special reunion activities over the past year.

During the Melon Music Awards 2025G-Dragon said earlier while accepting the award for Best Male Solo Artist: “I think this is my first male solo artist award at MMA. Thanks again to the VIPs. Next year, I hope we can win a group award.”

The comment immediately fueled speculation that BIGBANG would return as a full group.

Earlier this year, G-Dragon also mentioned the upcoming anniversary during his fan meeting: “BIGBANG will have a 20th anniversary comeback this year. Both as a member and a fan, I’m excited, and I think all the members feel the same.”

The members of BIGBANG also attracted attention during their appearance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival last month.

During the event, Taeyang emotionally reflected on the group’s history, saying: “We’ve spent half our lives together. It’s meaningful to share this journey through music.”

Adding even more excitement, YG Entertainment recently announced the reopening of BIGBANG’s official fan club, VIP, for the first time in 11 years.

The announcement was made through the group’s official social media accounts with the release of the “BIGBANG OFFICIAL 6th VIP NOW OPEN” poster. The last official recruitment of the fan club took place in 2015.

BIGBANG is also reportedly expected to launch a world tour starting in August, further raising anticipation for the legendary group’s long-awaited reunion era.
