According to Taiwanese media reports, Jisoo’s sister-in-law uploaded several emotional stories on Instagram early on May 23, revealing that she plans to officially finalize her divorce from Kim Ji Hoon on May 26.
In her posts, she admitted to feeling emotionally exhausted while also sharing photos of different medications, writing: “At this point I feel like I’m dying.”
The controversy originally erupted in April after Korean online community theqoo spread allegations involving a celebrity’s older brother accused of domestic violence.
The individual was later identified by online users as Kim Ji Hoon, reportedly Jisoo’s biological older brother.
At the time, Jisoo’s sister-in-law publicly accused her husband of repeated domestic abuse and uploaded photos purportedly showing visible injuries, triggering widespread shock in Korean and international online communities.
The allegations quickly became a major controversy due to Jisoo’s global popularity as a member of BLACKPINK.

Following the backlash, Jisoo’s agency BLISSOO released a statement distancing both the singer and the company from the situation.
The agency said it had no involvement in Kim Ji Hoon’s private life and clarified that it had no connection to the management company itself.

Now, with the divorce announcement going public, discussions about the controversy have once again resurfaced online.
Neither Jisoo nor her brother have personally addressed the latest developments publicly as of now.
