Netflix’s next variety show “Jae Suk’s B&B Rules!” has revealed several key takeaways ahead of its premiere, sparking anticipation among fans.
The new Netflix original program follows newbie campsite owner Yoo Jae Suk along with unpredictable staff members Lee Kwang Soo, Byeon Woo Seok and Ji Ye Eun as they eat, play, joke and help guests escape the daily grind through a large-scale camping experience.
After the previous Netflix guesthouse variety show “Kian’s quirky B&B,” the streaming platform is now introducing another unique hotel-themed entertainment series that is already attracting attention.
The production team explained that Yoo Jae Suk was chosen as the campsite owner due to his leadership skills and natural ability to make people feel at ease. However, unlike his usual refined and perfectly controlled TV persona, the show will highlight a more human and chaotic side of the legendary MC as he gradually becomes exhausted and increasingly clumsy during the intense two-night, three-day filming schedule.
The chemistry between the cast members is also expected to be one of the major attractions of the show. While Yoo Jae Suk fights like a frenemy “novice boss”, Lee Kwang Soo takes on the role of the stern but hilarious “discipline leader”. Meanwhile, Byeon Woo Seok is set to surprise viewers with his unexpectedly goofy charm, and experienced guesthouse worker Ji Ye Eun will serve as a reliable younger staff member.
The production promises plenty of fun moments as cast members, who initially hoped for a healing escape, instead find themselves overwhelmed with physically demanding tasks and ongoing responsibilities.
Adding to the excitement, celebrity couple Lee Hyori and Lee Sang Soon will make surprise appearances as special part-time staff members. Their unexpected participation is expected to bring further stability and professionalism to the camp’s chaotic operations.
Another highlight of the program is the huge filming location. Set in a 30,000 pyeong campsite equipped with facilities including a gym, outdoor stage and fitness centre, the show will feature a variety of activities for guests.
Programs include wake-up missions, morning yoga, trivia games, outdoor activities, bonfires and talent shows, all designed to help guests briefly escape the stresses of everyday life.
The production staff hinted that managing such a large campsite significantly increased the workload for the cast members, adding that this grueling environment ultimately became another key source of comedy for the series.
Netflix’s large-scale camp variety show “Jae Suk’s B&B Rules!” will release episodes 1 through 5 on May 26, followed by episodes 6 through 10 on June 2 exclusively via Netflix.
