Singer MC Mong (real name Shin Dong Hyun) continued his heated confrontation with actor Kim Min Jong by once again mentioning him in connection with an alleged illegal gambling ring in the entertainment industry known as “Baduki.”
Previously, on May 18, MC Mong hosted a live broadcast through his personal social media account, in which he accused MBC Note from the Democratic Party of collusion with certain individuals during his investigations. It also exposed several alleged members of an illegal gambling ring involving billions of won, including Eterno construction company chairman Cha Joon Young, along with figures identified as Chairman Park, Chairman Lee, CEO Choi and CEO Ahn, as well as celebrities allegedly linked to the group.
During the broadcast, MC Mong specifically named Kim Min Jong as one of the suspects “Baduki” members. He also made further claims regarding the relative of a conglomerate president and a middle-aged actress who allegedly had a secret relationship, further alleging that a famous actor had participated in illegal gambling activities in Japan and later received tips.
However, MC Mong did not provide concrete evidence to support his claims and the veracity of the allegations has not been verified.
After the livestream, Kim Min Jong and his legal representatives at the law firm Oh Kims strongly denied the allegations, stating: “These are clearly false claims. We will address this fact without compromise to demonstrate our innocence. We also intend to take both civil and criminal legal action where necessary.”
MC Mong’s accusations don’t stop there. After his account was reportedly suspended for seven days due to using a term associated with “death” during the previous broadcast, he created a new account and hosted another live stream on May 19.
During the new broadcast, MC Mong once again mentioned Kim Min Jong, Cha Joon Young, the uncle of One Hundred president Cha Ga Won, and the former CEO of the singer’s agency Kim Ho Joong.
MC Mong then stated, “What this group tried to do was seek out women around me, women who didn’t even know me and even women who worked in the nightlife industry, offering them large sums of money if they would share things they knew about MC Mong or even make up stories about me.”
At the moment, Kim Min Jong’s side has not released any additional official statement regarding the latest allegations.
With MC Mong’s sudden accusations turning into a confusing public conflict within the entertainment industry, public attention is now focused on how the controversy will ultimately end.
