A titled teaser was released on May 6th “(Friday Preview) Found! My Zombie Jewel, Jun Ji Hyun” was released on the YouTube Channel Fullmoon, featuring the cast of the upcoming film Colony.
The video brought together director Yeon Sang Ho and actors Jun Ji Hyun, Koo Kyo Hwan, Ji Chang Wook, Shin Hyun Been and Kim Shin Rok, building anticipation for both the film and the episode.
During the conversation, director Yeon Sang Ho reflected on his early experiences with zombie films, recalling how stunt teams initially felt uncomfortable playing zombie roles compared to traditional action scenes.
He added that perceptions have since changed, with actors now competing to deliver the most convincing performances. Surprisingly, he revealed that Jun Ji Hyun also showed enthusiasm in trying to act as a zombie.
In response to this, Jun Ji Hyun shared: “Since the director is so skilled at making zombie films, I tried to act like one next to him.”
He recalled with humor how the director suddenly reacted as if he had “discovered a jewel” while you look at it.
The lighthearted moment took an even funnier turn when Yeon Sang Ho commented on her physicality: “It has really long legs. When they bend, it looks like a water walker.”
The unexpected comparison made everyone laugh, with Jun Ji Hyun jokingly replying: “I could see the director’s eyes shining.”
The upcoming film Colony follows survivors trapped in a quarantined building in the midst of a mysterious epidemic. Unlike traditional zombies, the infected in this story evolve and communicate, promising a new level of horror.
With a powerful cast and direction by Yeon Sang Ho famous for Train to Busan the film is already arousing great interest.
In particular, Colony has been officially invited to the Midnight Screening section of the Cannes Film Festival and will premiere in Korea on May 21.
The full episode of “Na Young Suk’s Wagle Wagle with Colony” will be released on May 8 at 6pm, giving fans even more of the charm of Jun Ji Hyun’s rare variety show.
