During a recent episode of his YouTube show “Zip Daesung,” Daesung recalled his performances at Coachella alongside G-Dragon and Taeyang.
The trio took to the stage in Indio, California, marking a significant reunion for the members of BIGBANG and delighting fans around the world. Despite the hype, Daesung maintained his signature humor:
“What do you mean we destroyed the stage? We need to stitch it back together,” he joked.
Behind the successful performance, however, there was a tense situation.
Daesung revealed: “My manager’s hotel room was robbed. Everything was stolen, including our passports.”
As a result, he had to return to Korea using an emergency passport, turning what should have been a smooth trip into a stressful ordeal.
Surprisingly, this was not an isolated incident.

Daesung said a similar theft had previously occurred in Hawaii:
- A car window was broken during filming
- His manager’s bag was stolen
- Passports were taken
“My passport was stolen twice” he said, highlighting the recurring misfortune.
Despite the chaos, Daesung spoke openly about the Coachella experience, from song choices like incorporating trot elements to adding Korean subtitles for global audiences.
His conversation with Hyoyeon added a fun and nostalgic touch, as the episode featured a rare BIGBANG-Girls’ Generation interaction.
BIGBANG’s Coachella stage was a major milestone, but Daesung’s story reveals the unpredictable reality behind global performances.
