OnlyOneOf Trio Talks Rebranding QQQ & Creating Debut Mini-Album ‘QtoresQ’

Former OnlyOneOf members KB, JISUNG and NINE renamed QQQ and released their debut mini-album “QtoresQ” on February 26, 2026, marking a new chapter in their career as an independent trio.

Name and formation of the group

The trio chose the name QQQ as a continuation of the original group’s identity. According to KB, the abbreviation for OnlyOneOf was OOO, and when viewed from a certain angle, it resembles QQQ.

The group was announced on December 21, 2025, following OnlyOneOf’s contract with 8D Entertainment expiring in October 2025. The lineup marks the reunion of JISUNG, formerly known as Love, who left OnlyOneOf in 2021, with his former bandmates KB and NINE, according to Music Mundial.

Meaning and concept of the album

The mini-album title “QtoresQ” is pronounced “Q to Rescue” and represents the members’ desire to be a source of support during difficult times. The trio explained that the “Q” is not fixed and could represent the members themselves, their fans or anyone who is going through difficulties, carrying with it the meaning of saving each other.

The four-track album includes “UNCOOL,” “QtoresQ,” “Rainbow shade,” and “Burnaway (into the fire).” The project serves as a signal for supporters, conveying the message of finding the light in each other through the darkness, KpopWise reported.

Creative process and independence

QQQ emphasized their hands-on approach to the album’s creation, with all three members participating in every aspect of the production. The group handled not only the songs but also the concept, music video, cover photos and social media previews.

KB recognized that working independently without direction from the company meant that the production process was not always smooth, as members had to align their individual creative visions through meetings.

However, JISUNG noted that this gave them complete ownership and responsibility over their work, allowing them to convey their message more clearly.

NINE expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work as a trio and for JISUNG’s decision to return after his hiatus, according to Allkpop.
