On April 22, tvN debuted a teaser video introducing the main cast of its new variety show Kill It: The War of the Style Makers (right away Kill him).
The premiere is scheduled for May 12th Kill him is a survival show for fashion creators aimed at discovering the next generation of figures who will lead K fashion trends. It is CJ ENM’s first fashion-themed variety program in 10 years, following past fashion survival shows such as Challenge! The Korean top model AND Korea Track Project.
The program follows 100 creators from the fashion scene as they compete fiercely for the prize one and only style icon title. The teaser featured seven leaders of the label, and among them was Kim Ji Yoon, known as Jisoo’s older sister.
Kim Ji Yoon, active as an influencer, previously appeared on ENA’s seller survival program Super seller and became known to spectators. True to his nickname “Han Hyo Joo from Gunpo”, she attracted attention in the teaser with her extraordinary beauty.
However, since the release of Kill him comes amid the privacy controversy surrounding Jisoo’s family, the teaser has sparked Mixed reactions online.
Recently, Jisoo has been embroiled in controversy due to the privacy scandal involving her older brother, identified as Mr. A. Mr. A, who sparked the controversy, was arrested on the 13th on charges of attempted inappropriate physical contact with a female BJ, but the prosecution rejected the request for a detention warrant. Since then, suspicions have continued after an internet user claiming to be Mr A’s wife posted further allegations online.
When it became known that Mr. A was a relative of a famous girl group member, the controversy widened. As the situation worsened, BLISSOO, Jisoo’s agency, released an official statement through her legal representative on the 20th, stating that Jisoo has no connection to the recent controversy. The explanation stated this Jisoo had been living independently of her family since her internship and was in no position to know or be involved in that individual’s private life.

Notably, Jisoo had already become independent from her former agency YG Entertainment and founded her own individual agency, BLISSOO. The agency also firmly denied suspicions that Mr. A was involved in the management of BLISSOO. Jisoo’s side said, “It provided limited advice during the incorporation process, but did not receive any compensation or participate in the decision-making process,” and added that they would take civil and criminal action against the spread of rumors and false information.
