BIGBANG Celebrates 20th Anniversary With Official Account Launch, Follower List Arouses Interest

The group BIGBANG has officially kicked off its 20th anniversary celebrations by launching new official accounts, signaling the beginning of an important new chapter. What caught the most attention, however, was the account’s follower list, which unexpectedly included former member TOP, sparking intense discussion among fans.

On April 21 at 8:19 pm—symbolically coinciding with the group’s August 19 debut date—BIGBANG simultaneously opened accounts on a global fandom platform and social media. The move is seen as the first step in their 20th anniversary project, reflecting the members’ intention to reconnect more actively with fans around the world.

The first post featured the silhouettes of G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung, accompanied by the bold phrase “BIGBANG IS BACK.” A teaser video and newly revealed logo that embody the message “20TH ANNIVERSARY” they further fueled the anticipation for the group’s next activities.

Yet the biggest talking point was the following account listing. Among the five accounts followed were the three active members, their agency and especially TOP, who had previously left the group. Meanwhile, former member Seungri was absent, which led some to interpret the choice as a deliberate distinction linked to past controversies.

Fans quickly flooded online communities with mixed reactions. Some have speculated as much The inclusion of TOP could hint at a potential reunionwhile others argued it was simply symbolic.
