Seven-member K-pop group Close Your Eyes (CYE) is preparing to release a new album in April, their agency Uncore confirmed on March 23.
In a statement, Uncore said the group is “currently in the final stages of production” for the upcoming release. The agency added that the album “reflects the group’s deepened identity and expanded musical spectrum.” A specific release date, album title and tracklist have not yet been announced.
The April release will be the group’s first musical project of 2026 and their fourth album overall since debuting in April 2025. Close Your Eyes was formed through JTBC’s survival show “Project 7,” which aired from October to December 2024, according to Allkpop.
The seven members, Jeon Minwook, Ma Jingxiang, Jang Yeojun, Kim Sungmin, Song Seungho, Sakurada Kenshin and Seo Kyoungbae, were selected via fan voting, with over 17 million votes cast in the final round.
Since their debut, the group has released three mini-albums: Eternally in April 2025, Snowy summer in July 2025 and Blackout in November 2025. Their growth in each release has been rapid. “Eternalt” recorded over 310,000 copies in first week sales.
“Snowy Summer” sold over 200,000 copies on its release day alone. “Blackout” then broke both previous records, selling 570,000 copies in its first week and pushing the group past 1.2 million cumulative album sales. Chosun reported.
The group also won five rookie awards in 2025, including the Hottest Artist Award at the Fact Music Awards, the New Wave Artist Award at the 2025 TikTok Awards, and the IS Rookie Award at the Korea Grand Music Awards. Their third mini album “Blackout” reached number two on the United World Chart, the highest ranking among male groups debuting in 2025.
Close Your Eyes recently kicked off their first world tour, “Beyond Your Eyes,” which will begin with two nights at the Olympic Hall in Seoul on January 31 and February 1, 2026. The tour has since moved to Japan, with additional stops planned in Canada, Malaysia and Russia.
In a February interview with CNN, member Jeon Minwook hinted at the evolution of the group’s sound, saying, “What I can say is that we’ve delved into a variety of sounds, so what we unveil in 2026 will definitely be something refreshingly new and unexpected,” as per CNN.
