Actress Jung Eun Chae recently shared her gratitude towards her boyfriend Kim Chung Jae for supporting her during the ENA drama’s broadcast Honor. The actress played the role of Kang Shin Jae in the legal drama, which ended on March 10. Her character is the leader of three female lawyers who face a scandal from their past while seeking justice for victims of sex crimes.
Speaking in an interview on March 13 in Seoul, Jung Eun Chae reflected on the memorable scenes from the drama. She said the moment when the three characters hug each other after facing painful truths was particularly moving. She also highlighted a lighter scene in which the three women walk and laugh together near Gyeongbokgung Palace, explaining that the lighthearted moment felt special because the drama contained few bright scenes at the beginning. The actress added that she paid close attention to the styling and costume design to help portray the character more realistically.
According to Jung Eun Chae, the glamorous appearance of the three lawyers represented a sort of “armor” as they faced difficult battles. Jung Eun Chae also spoke about the support she received from her boyfriend, designer Kim Chung Jae, who she has been publicly dating since March 2024. “He likes to watch the projects I appear in,” he said with a smile. “He probably watches the show even more diligently than I do. He’s always a great source of encouragement.”
He revealed that Kim Chung Jae often shares honest feedback on his work and appreciates discussing projects with him objectively. Although the two did not watch the show together due to her busy filming schedule, Jung Eun Chae said she often received his reactions and comments. “He even leaves supportive comments on my Instagram,” he joked. “Sometimes that makes things a little difficult for me, but honestly, I’m just grateful.”
Following HonorJung Eun Chae quickly moved on to her next project and is currently filming SBS Flex x Policeman Season 2, which began filming just a week after wrapping up the ENA drama.
