A recent moment between BI and iKON’s Jay went viral, sparking a wave of mixed emotions among fans.
When iKON debuted in 2015 under YG Entertainment, the group consisted of seven members: Jay (Jinhwan), Song, Bobby, DK, Ju-ne, Chan and leader BI. However, following controversies in 2019, BI left the group and iKON continued promotions as a six-member group. Since then, public interactions between BI and members have been rare, fueling speculation about their relationship.
Fans were recently given what many described as a “healing moment” during BI’s The Last Parade tour As he prepares for his military enlistment, BI has been holding concerts, including one in Seoul on March 1.
During the show, attendees noticed that Jay was sitting on the second floor of the venue. Halfway through the performance, BI noticed him in the audience and greeted him. Jay responded by waving and shouting, “BI, fighting!”
While there have been subtle references to each other in the past, this marked one of the most direct public interactions between the two idols since BI’s departure in 2019. The brief exchange quickly spread across social media platforms, with clips racking up hundreds of thousands of views.
Many fans expressed emotional reactions, particularly longtime iKONICs – iKON’s official fan club – who felt the interaction symbolized reconciliation or at least mutual support. Screenshots of crying fans and comments like “My heart is healed” circulated widely online.
However, the reactions were not entirely unanimous. While some celebrated the moment as a sign of maturity and growth, others expressed a lingering sadness over the group’s past and the circumstances surrounding BI’s release
As BI’s enlistment nears, the interaction seemed especially meaningful to fans who have followed both his solo journey and iKON’s ongoing activities.
