Former U-KISS member Dongho (32, birth name Shin Dongho) and his ex-wife are embroiled in a heated public dispute, with both parties exchanging serious accusations via social media.
On February 26, Dongho took to his SNS to strongly deny the allegations previously raised by his ex-wife, identified as A. He stated: “I have never committed adultery. The claims regarding visitation rights, child support and abuse are all false.” He added that he intends to file criminal charges against A for spreading false information and defamation.
In response, A posted a lengthy rebuttal on his Instagram the same day, making shocking counterclaims. “He says it’s all fake. You must be out of your mind. Well, let’s get to the bottom of it. Please report me.” he wrote. He further stated, “I will reveal the names of the members who prostituted themselves with Dongho.”
A went on to claim that he never received child support and accused Dongho of physically abusing his son. She said she was willing to present bank records from both her account and her mother’s as proof that no payments had been made. She also claimed to have a recorded telephone conversation with Dongho’s mother, in which she allegedly apologized for the abuse.
Adding to the controversy, A shared a screenshot of a mobile messaging conversation. The profile photo reportedly showed Dongho’s face under the name “동블비”. In the messages, the individual allegedly wrote statements such as: “You just have to teach him how to control the bar girls with money,” AND “You should give him three condoms.” An established, “He said he would force our son into prostitution.”
A also addressed visitation rights, stating: “I showed him our son without taking any money. My friends have known for a long time that I showed him our son without receiving a single penny and that he never paid child support.” He added harsh criticism of Dongho, accusing him of pretending to be nice in public while behaving differently behind closed doors.
He also argued, “People say you need to listen to both sides. But it’s a public fact that I raised our son alone after divorcing him because of his affair. Why is the victim being harmed more? Why is she trying to take her son with her?”
Dongho debuted as a member of U-KISS before leaving the group in 2013. He married a non-famous woman a year older than him in 2015, and the couple had a son in 2016. However, they divorced in 2018. Since then, Dongho has reportedly moved to Japan, where he has been active as a DJ and businessman.
As the situation continues to worsen, both sides have indicated their intent to take legal action. With serious allegations being raised publicly, many are calling for the matter to be resolved through official investigations rather than exchanges on social media.
